BetterE keeps a close watch on the charging process, automatically stopping the charging process when abnormal conditions are detected. It monitors charging power, temperatures, cell voltages, etc. When dangerous conditions are detected, the user is automatically alarmed.

Specialized in solid-state batteries, with research on the influence of rotating anions in plastic crystals on the conductivity of electrolytes in solid-state batteries. Pepijn co-founded PickMe, a sustainable toothpick subscription startup, and gained valuable experience in management and fundraising. As part of the TU Delft Ecorunner team, he helped design the world’s most efficient hydrogen car, leading acquisition efforts and raising over €150,000 for the project. Pepijn’s expertise bridges technology and sustainability, focusing on next-generation energy storage solutions.

Inse has been working on BetterE for four years, a project that started as a student initiative and is now evolving into a solution for electric mobility. At Vrijopnaam, a sustainable energy provider, he develops optimization models and applies neural networks to optimize renewable energy assets. He has presented BetterE at COP28 in Dubai for the international “Prototypes for Humanity” competition and at TU/e’s Sustainability Day.
